Are there any entrance requirements for Corporate Education (CE) programmes in Singapore? |
| A. |
For most short term executive courses, there are usually no particular entry requirements. In most course descriptions, it will be stated as to which level of staff the programme will be appropriate for. However, there may be some programmes where the participants need to have a minimum number of years of working experience. Participants may check with the respective institutions directly to confirm if there is any form of pre-requisite requirements.

| Q8 |
Do I need to apply for a Student's Pass for a Corporate Education program? |
| A. |
You are exempted from applying for a Student's Pass to take up a course as long as:
- It is conducted and completed within the validity of the initial social visit pass granted at the Singapore checkpoint or 30 days, whichever is shorter;
- It is a complete and stand-alone module on its own; and
- It does not involve hands-on practical occupational training and/or industrial attachment, which has interaction with walk-in customers, or is not conducted at premises that are also the places of business.
However, participants holding travel documents from some countries may be required to apply for a visa from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to enter Singapore. For a detailed listing of countries requiring visa, please refer to the website www.ica.gov.sg.

| Q9 |
What should I do if the validity of my Social Visit Pass granted is not sufficient to cover the whole duration of the course? |
| A. |
Any extension of stay will be considered on its own merit. If you wish to sign up for longer courses in Singapore, we advise that you apply for a Student's Pass. For details on the Student's Pass application procedures, please refer to the website www.ica.gov.sg. Alternatively you can also seek the advice of the training providers you have in mind.
