Singapore's arts scene is filled with vibrancy and diversity. Take a walk down the arts districts and pockets of arts activities in the city and discover a whole new side to Singapore that you never knew existed!
Much of Singapore's rich cultural heritage and 5,000 years of our ancestral cultures is reflected in the many artefacts on display at our museums. Visit our flagship museum - the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM), Empress Place, the Peranankan-themed ACM Armenian Street and Singapore History Museum for an enriching experience. At the Singapore Art Museum, you will be treated to occasional blockbusters by international artists. Other artworks include famous pieces by Singapore's renowned pioneering artists such as Liu Kang.
Music, dance, theatre - whatever your preference, a feast awaits you! Enjoy ballet in the open under the stars or be serenaded by the Singapore Symphony. Singapore has a year-round calendar of arts activities. Check the local newspaper for the latest events.
As you enter Singapore's civic district, you will be greeted by our latest cultural icon - the Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay. Familiarly dubbed the "durian" by locals, the Esplanade plays host to hundreds of performances by local and international artists. Smaller arts venues hold their own by catering to alternative needs of the arts community, such as the Substation.
