Advice & Counselling Services

Educational institutions offer guidance and counselling for academic matters such as the choice of course, as well as for non-academic matters such as personal development.

Most tertiary institutions have an International Student Office or Counselling Centre to offer advice and a listening ear to issues faced by students, be they emotional, financial or social.  Some of these centres even have professional counsellors to assist you in your area of need.

To help students develop their full potential, most schools offer co-curricular activities and developmental programmes to hone students' interpersonal skills and boost self-esteem.  Workshops, camps and peer support groups are common activities organised by schools to add to a student's overall well-being as an individual.

Teaching staff usually double up as mentors and care persons to students, providing academic and emotional support, and are facilitators of growth in the lives of students. With a close knit network of teachers, staff, and students, you can be sure your needs will be well taken care of.
